Preface.
One fine February day of 2020, the idea occurred to me-to go to my account on Origin. I’ve been playing from the console for years now, so my accounts are Steam, Origin and Gog for a long time covered with dust, which sometimes blows away by a passing passage. With great difficulty remembering the password from the Electronic Arts service, I overcame the authorization barrier and found a lot of interesting things in my library – ALice: Madness Returns, the Dead Space, Jade Empire trilogy and much more, but this is not clear because my eyes clung to three games with BioWare, with a phraseMass Effect in the name. And then I realized something strange – I have never launched any of them. I heard so much about Mass Effect and even wanted to join this universe, but did not do it. Well, it’s time to catch up – I told myself and went to try on the role of commander John Shepard. And at that moment I did not even suspect how much, damn it, it would be the right decision! Well, with the help of this text, I just want to share my impressions, of which a lot has accumulated in 3 games. Who knows, perhaps the reader of this one wants to try himself in the role of commander Shepard, if, like me, I missed in due time.

When your trilogy began to take place only in 2020.

Mass Effect. Good space adventure.
Before loading me into star scandals, intrigues and investigations, the game demanded that I create a character. I was too lazy to configure my appearance and all this, so I chose a ready -made option from developers. Subsequently, I just transferred the character to the sequel and the Trickl.

Yes, this option.

And now, after that, the game begins to enter the course. In the 2149th year, during the development of space, humanity discovers devices such as mass relayers. These devices allow you to quickly and conveniently move between different sections of the Milky Way galaxy. Only now people did not know that other reasonable races of galaxies have long been using this technology and even invented a law according to which these relayers cannot be activated left and right. Ignorance of people provoked the war of the first contact with the race of Turians, as well as distrust of people from the rest of the races. However, over time, the situation becomes more calm. Humanity begins to become more and more into general galactic affairs, but the commander Shepard should become the first spectrum from the human race. Spectra is special agents who obey only the Supreme Galactic Council and fulfill the most impossible and most classified missions. And here the problems begin. The spectrum of Saren Arterius betrays advice, takes the synthetic race of the Geta to his command, arranges a massacre on the planet Eden Prime and begins to look for the remains of technologies of the extinct raw Protean. It is believed that it was the proteins who created the masses of mass, but this is clearly not all their creations. During a skirmish on Eden Prime, Shepard comes into telepathic contact with a lighthouse left by the proteins. This very contact is Shepard strange visions that are quite difficult to understand, but they obviously do not promise anything good. And now Shepard, having received a spectrum license and a ship called Normandy, must stop Saren and his army.

I would not understand any of this in the place of Shepard.

Now let’s go to the gameplay, while I wrote all this myself almost forgot that we still have a game here. In addition to the role component, namely branched dialogues and moral systems, Mass Effect offers the player a rather primitive and axial third -person shooter with shelters and various elements of pumping. You can improve the characteristics of the character himself, your partners, and there is also the opportunity to put modules with various effects on the weapon used. In addition to the above, for Shepard and his team you need to select an intelligent gate. It is not of such importance here, as in some modern luswood, but in obsolete ports it is better not to linger, if it is possible to replace them with something more effective. I went through the game on the veteran, it was the maximum difficulty of available first passage. And, frankly, only Matriarch Benesia became a serious problem for me, but only because I came to her too early and with a weak equipment. Otherwise, everything was quite easy, especially closer to the finale.

This gesture of Benesia then I dreamed in nightmares. For so long I have been bored with her.

Oh yes, they are not won by the shooting of a single enemy. Each character, including Shepard himself, has its own special skills. Someone is a biotic and is able to execute gravitational vortices, protective barriers, or can simply throw a clot of energy into the enemy in the face. Someone uses their talents technique. Well, someone is just damn good in a military craft, like my Shepard, for example.

Of course, all the special capabilities of the partners are at the disposal of the commander.

Well, now let’s get back to the plot for a while. Using all of the above, Shepard becomes a serious threat to Saren, who, as it turned out, submits to the Lord – the representative of the ancient synthetic race of the Reaper. It was they who once exterminated the protrude and now they want to repeat with the current population of the galaxy. Reapers are huge “living” spaceships that are able to stupefy mind, as well as modify and subordinate captured creatures. Saren intends to hold the Lord, on a huge space station Citadel, on which the galactic government is concentrated, so that with the help of its energy it can call the rest of the reaps and begin a new cycle of harvesting of the population of the galaxy. I have now simplified everything, in fact, the situation is more complicated there, and the events are significantly larger.

Shepard manages to save the situation and kills Saren. Then he kills the sovereign, who had risen into his body, and everyone is happy except the Galactic Council, which I sacrificed. And now we can take the results regarding the first part, as well as recall things that I have not mentioned earlier. Almost all team members survived in my adventure. I didn’t want to romance anyone, although there were enough options. Morality was completely pumped on the paragon. Most of the quests sid was made, although not all. By the way, about morality, all 3 parts of Mass Effect offer a paragon / renegade system, which is adjusted depending on the decisions made by the player, it also affects the ending. The thing is very interesting, but in the first part it is not as cool as in the following.

As for general impressions. I https://tropicanzacasino.uk/ really liked the universe and the adventure that I had to survive. I did not see anything super -circular, and the shooting mechanics with strange shooting and weapons, which does not consume cartridges, but overheating, did not particularly excite me. But all this had the spirit of an exciting adventure. I easily associated myself with Shepard, which was facilitated by a dialogue system with a rich set of replicas. And what amazing soundtrack here! Jack Wall and Sam Halik created something magical! Composers, it seems to me, were inspired by Wangelis’s work for the run -in the blade, although these are only my guesses. I even liked to explore various planets on a maco all-terrain vehicle, although its handling is something terrible.

However, Commander Shepard perfectly understood that the victory over Saren and Lord, this was only the beginning. Reapers will not stop so simply, and accordingly should not stop and he. And this means that it’s time to move to Sikvel.

Mass Effect 2. Stunning, exciting, incredible, sexy, brutal, gloomy cosmic adventure.
The sequel Mass Effect begins with the main character suddenly dies. Our ship Normandy is destroyed by an unknown ship. Part of the team manages to escape, and Shepard remains to hang out without oxygen in outer space, barely having time to save Joker. This is the pseudonym of the pilot, Batman has nothing to do with it. I did not mention him in the story of the first part, because he did not play there any important role. So, Shepard is dead. What to do? Who will now prevent a new invasion of the Reapers? The ghost, the head of the Cerberus organization, with which Shepard had several skirmishes in the first part has an answer to these questions. And despite these same skirmishes, the ghost is sure that Shepard needs a galaxy more than ever, therefore Lazar is launched, the purpose of which is the purpose of reviving the commander with the help of cyber implants. In short, they want to do something like Adam Jensen from Shepard and they do.

In fact, there will be more tasks.

Shepard comes to his senses 2 years after his death at one of the Cerberus bases and understands that the base is currently attacking. The whole seriousness of the situation is confirmed by Miranda Lawson, project manager, Lazar. Shepard quickly finds a weapon and now he, like the player, has to get acquainted with the updated combat system. Now we have a shooter with shelters of a healthy person, and weapons have cartridges, albeit universal, but already cool. You no longer need to insert modules into the weapon to make shots with a special type of damage. Now there are separate firing modes for this, which can be switched at any time and pump along with other skills. And this is damn convenient, now you do not need to spend time digging in the inventory. You just take the necessary trunks and shoot them as you think it is necessary. Among the varieties of weapons, special special guns appeared, which require special cartridges. It is impossible to apply firing modes for them, but this is not scary, because the special guns already cause very good damage. The sequel, in principle, is more concentrated on shootings and their production, but he also does not forget about his role -free base, but a little later about it.

Shepard gets out from the Cerberus base in Jacob Taylor and the aforementioned Miranda Lawson. Commander is not enthusiastic that now he has to be friends with his old enemies, but he has no choice. Having reached another base, Shepard is associated with a ghost to get to know and understand why he would pull out a commander from the grave. The ghost says that he sees the instrument and symbol in Shepard, which is ideal for the role of the Savior of the Galaxy. Shepard was already able to defeat one Reaper, who else can be entrusted with a mission to prevent the invasion of the rest? In addition, the ghost reports that strange things are happening in the human colonies in different parts of the galaxy. These same colonies simply disappear. The military alliance, in which Shepard used to serve, does not take any decisive action, so Cerberus takes the initiative in his hands. Cerberus, in fact, was created to defend the interests of the human race in the Galaxy. True, sometimes he does it too radically, applying force against other races, and sometimes in relation to people. Ghost believes that small losses are permissible for great goals. Shepard does not agree with him, but now they, one way or another, must unite. His new friends Jacob and Miranda will help the commander. And the latter is of particular interest.

It was Miranda who pulled Shepard from the other world. However, she perceives him, like many others, only in the role of function. In the case of Shepard, very expensive function. At first, this character gives the impression of a bitch that has read a lot of motivating literature with a common message – you are a goddess, and men’s plebeians. However, if you do not leave attempts to talk to it, then you can find out that she became so because of the influence of her father, who, well, is not at all pulling on an exemplary dad. He raised his daughter as an instrument, worrying that she would not function as he needed, and not about her well -being. Therefore, it is not surprising that Miranda eventually treats people also dismissive. By the way, about dialogues with her, the camera in conversational scenes fatly hints that you can not only talk to Miranda if you try.

Communication with your team in Mass Effect 2 is an important condition for obtaining a good ending. Well, it’s just interesting. In the first part, conversations with the crew of Normandy were also entertaining, but they depended on them significantly less than in the second. By the way, about the team, Shepard quickly finds out that there is a race of collectors behind the disappearance of many colonies, and it was they who destroyed the first Normandy. Now he needs to assemble a new team that will help him defeat collectors. Why did I say the first Normandy? Because the ghost makes Shepard with a powerful fit in the form of an updated Normandy, Katszen with a presentation of which can cause aesthetic orgasm. The ghost even hires the Joker to be the new ship by the already familiar pilot. Well, it’s simple to make Shepard more comfortable with an old friend at side. And this is the whole plot tie, you just need to assemble a team and pump the ship for the final fight with collectors. It sounds quite simple, true? Only now each new member of the team has his own story, in which the player has to plunge if he wants to get a decent ending. Sopartiyz has its own so -called mission for loyalty. During it, Shepard helps his Timmate solve a certain personal problem. As a rule, on these tasks you just need to participate in a number of steep shootings, but there are exceptions. For example, the mission of Tayn Cryos is loyal to surveillance for the goal and effective negotiations with the updated paragon / renegade system. Now in some scenes, QTE is launched for a couple of seconds from literally one button with the ability to perform either a paragon or a renegade. And this is a very serious innovation, because now it is not so profitable to play strictly a paragon or renegade, as in the first part. One of the parties, of course, will still significantly prevail, but now, playing a good guy, you should not completely ignore the actions of the renegade and vice versa.

Moreover, the appearance of Shepard now depends on the choice of the dark or bright side. To be good, the postoperative scars of the commander will drag out, and he will look just like in the first part. And to be bad, you get the opposite effect, and Shepard will look like a terminator.

Returning to the missions to loyalty, there will be a lot of them, because the team will have to gather not small. It will mainly have new faces, but for the old men of Garus and Tali there was also a place. I remember the above mission with interrogation and mission for Miranda, where it is necessary to save her sister, this task has a rather touching finale. Not all of them are equally good, a mission for a grant, for example, I didn’t like it at all. And yet, it is better to complete all these tasks, this will significantly increase the chances of the survival of your associates.

As a result, my Shepard defeated the collectors, losing only one fighter from the detachment. Definitely, it could be saved, apparently I conjured with the distribution of responsibilities in one of the segments of the final suicide mission. With Miranda, I built Bad Rommens. Why Bad, I will tell you in the section about the third part. The final boss was defeated without any problems, despite the maximum difficulty. Yes, unlike the first part, here you can already put the complexity of madness in the first passage, so much more fun.

The second part became much more dynamic, darker and brutal than. Shepard is no longer a special agent who is all everywhere everywhere to see. Now he cooperates with the radicals and is forced to interact with a variety of personalities, some of which do not cause much trust. Many things were cut and simplified. Castomization of the armor has become a little more detailed. It can be painted as you like and change individual elements, on which the resulting combat bonuses depend. About the fighter has already been said above, but nothing was said about locations on which clashes and simple walks take place. They have already become noticeably and turned into, in fact, into corridors. Oddly enough, but it went to Mass Effect only to the benefit, because in the first part of the location they were more spacious and there was a lot of extra walking on them, and sometimes there was a question from the 90s at all-where did I even go?! Well, I like the visual design of locations much more in the sequel. Of the minuses, perhaps, only some quests are activated at one point, and become possible for execution in a completely different. And the descriptions of these quests are sometimes just bombic-find someone on the citadel who needs a fake pass. I went around the whole citadel several times, but I have not found anyone. It’s not enough to go where, in principle, not very fun, and then it also turned out that now the quest is generally impossible, because the NPC desired will appear in the citadel after performing a certain plot mission. And not the game itself told me about this, but a fan wiki. Well this is for yourself, do you know. But I would like to finish with the second part on a pleasant note. Mass Effect 2 gave the world not only an interesting story, cool action and a powerful soundtrack from Jack Volla. Mass Effect 2 gave the world such cool memes as conversations about calibration and Assuming Direct Control.

But even that is not all. Mass Effect 2 is the only game that I know in which you can advertise stores. Advertise! Shops!

Mass Effect 3. The last cosmic adventure.
The story about the tricceules will be somewhat shorter, because there are not so many changes in it. And you can’t say much about the plot. The fighting became a little more dynamic by adding rifts to Shepard and Grenades to the enemies. A reinforced blow was added to the near battle. Now only the shield regenerates, health will be updated strictly by first -aid kits. Almost like in the first part, there you could wait for the regeneration of everything, but it turned out with a first -aid kit faster.

It’s funny, but starting Mass Effect 3, I could not get rid of the feeling that the developers were as if ashamed of the second part. In the final Mass Effect 2 Shepard, to the epic music, was preparing to carry the reaps themselves. I, in an incredible anticipation, immediately after the credits, I launch a third part, and what I see-Shepard enjoys a pension on Earth, the Alliance confiscated Normandy, the whole team fled, even Miranda is not clear where, but I and Shepard and Love-Grandmans. It seems that there was a separate game between the second and third part. I have a wagon of questions for all this. Why did Shepard return to the Alliance and allowed the ship to confiscate? I played the whole second part a guy who does not like the Alliance, what kind of nonsense? Why did I endure the conservation? OK, part of the team agreed with Shepard only to the battle with the collectors, but this is only a part, which with the rest? Why is Shepard and Miranda not together? What is happening at all? Obviously, the answer to all these questions is one – the screenwriter had a strictly defined plan, and he adhered to him. Nevertheless, Shepard is not allowed to get high in retirement, because the reapers decided not to rely on the help of all sarens and collectors, so they began to capture the galaxy on their own. In addition, excessive hostility begins to show Cerberus. With all this you need to figure out Shepard, who else. Having retreated from the land that the reapers capture, Shepard meets on Mars with Liara T’Soni. She discovered the drawings of weapons against the Reapers, which the Proteins did not have time to finish. Shepard’s task is to unite the galaxy, collect the maximum of military and scientific resources to work on these weapons, as well as stop the ghost, which decided that he was able to find a way to control the reapers.

In short, you need to fill this strip at least gray, but better green, the ending will be better.

Based on the above, you could have the impression that I was deeply disappointed with a tricide. No, only his tie and the lack of the opportunity to add to his detachment of the Persians precisely from the second part. Gurus and Tali do not count, they were in the first. Although no one forgot about the characters of Mass Effect 2. In the third part, they all receive the chic completion of their plot arches. Farewell to Mordin and Teyn, very touching scenes were especially good. Even Miranda will make itself felt, but there is already a complete Dynamo. The fighting, again, became much cooler. You can now insert improvement modules into the weapon, but now it is enough to put the right modules once, in the future they will be updated, which is quite convenient. Regarding the fighting, it was only upset that instead of at least some final boss, they put me a tedious shootout with mobs.

Big Ben is, of course, good, but Big Boss would be better.

And now I would like to dispel the long -standing myth that without a PVE multiplayer, which in the third part exists according to one of the greatest mistakes of mankind, it is impossible to get the best ending. So, as was said in the signature for the picture with the progress of the bar, you need to fill the strip with green. To do this, you can use a multiplayer, but it is better not to engage in croofilia, but simply perform side effects and explore the galactic sectors. On some forums they write that for this paid DLC will need. So no, you will not need. Even before all the side effects, the green strip was already filled with. So knocking out the best ending is not as difficult as it might seem. And, by the way, about the ends themselves. I do not understand why it was to pour a bucket of slop in Bioware in 2012 and demand the converted finals from them. After the credits, I looked at the rest of the ends and there, even without complement by Extnded Cut, everything is quite adequate and understandable. Personally, I really liked the idea that all the best options for the final do not imply Shepard’s survival. This is a very original approach.

The time has come. I am delighted with this trilogy, it is rare to get involved in a game adventure as much as it happened with Mass Effect. I have long heard the conversations that Bioware is not at all the same, but only now I understand how much this studio has changed. And if they do not conduct serious changes in the frames and priorities. I’m afraid that such masterpieces as the adventures of Shepard we will see very not soon.
